Playing with my Zenit

The most beautiful thing about using film is feeling the excitement of the wait to get them developed. With only 26 exposures on the roll, I double-checked my settings,  composed the angle & prayed that the exposure would be all right. The test shot no longer existed. The unpredictability is awesome.

It also reminded me of the days when my family had kept a bowl in our home that we would fill with rolls that needed to be developed. Once we took the rolls in & got them developed, we would gather together & look through all of photos not knowing what to expect. We laughed at the silly faces that were captured that–since they were paid for–we wouldn’t throw out. I miss those days.
